| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 250, Local Government Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Section 250.014 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 250.014. PROPERTY OWNED BY TAXING UNIT EXEMPT FROM | ||
| IMPERVIOUS COVER REGULATION. (a) In this section, "taxing unit" | ||
| has the meaning assigned by Section 1.04, Tax Code. | ||
| (b) A property that is owned by a taxing unit in a political | ||
| subdivision is exempt from an ordinance, order, or other regulation | ||
| adopted by the political subdivision relating to impervious cover. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
