relating to the methods by which the comptroller may provide notice | ||
of a hearing on the revocation or suspension, or of the revocation | ||
or suspension, of a permit or license. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 111.0047, Tax Code, is amended by | ||
amending Subsection (d) and adding Subsection (e) to read as | ||
follows: | ||
(d) Notices under this section may be served on the holder | ||
of the permit or license personally or may be mailed to the holder's | ||
address as shown in the records of the comptroller. At the option | ||
of the holder of the permit or license, the notices may be served by | ||
electronic means instead of served personally or mailed. | ||
(e) A notice served by electronic means must be addressed to | ||
the person's e-mail address as it appears in the comptroller's | ||
records. Service by electronic means is complete when the | ||
comptroller transmits the notice to the person's e-mail address. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
