Local Government Impact
According to the Texas Education Agency, school districts and charter schools may experience costs associated with uniforms, equipment, travel, and other needs related to home-schooled student participation in activities sponsored by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). The agency assumes there may also be some administrative costs associated with collecting academic performance information or other qualifying information for the purpose of verifying home-schooled students are eligible to participate in UIL activities.
