Summary

As introduced, redirects 80 percent of the privilege tax collected from sports wagering licensees from the lottery for education account to a new account created to provide supplemental funding for voluntary pre-kindergarten (pre-K) programs; requires the department of education to implement a grant program to provide LEAs operating a voluntary pre-K program with supplemental funding using privilege taxes collected from sports wagering licensees. - Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 49 and Title 49.
