Summary

As enacted, authorizes a representative of the agency of government in which a peace officer served at the time of the officer's death to receive the Three Stars of Tennessee Award on the officer's behalf, provided there are no other surviving next of kin to receive the award; authorizes the commissioner of safety, in collaboration with the homeland security council, to promulgate rules regarding the selection and administration of the award. - Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 1, Part 5.
