Summary

As introduced, adds an additional trial court in the 23rd judicial district comprised of Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, and Stewart counties effective September 1, 2019, with the additional judge or chancellor to be appointed by the governor; authorizes the voters of the 23rd judicial district to elect the additional judge or chancellor at the August 2020 general election to serve until September 1, 2022. - Amends TCA Title 8; Title 16; Title 17 and Title 18.
