To whom was referred a Bill (S. 458) to amend Section 6-9-55(C) of the 1976 Code, relating to the enforcement date of Section 501.3 of the 2012 International Residential Code, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass with amendment:

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking all after the enacting words and inserting:

/    SECTION    1.    Section 6-9-55(C) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 65 of 2013, is amended to read:

"(C)    Notwithstanding subsection (A), Section 501.3 of the 2012 International Residential Code must not be enforced at any time before July 1, 2015."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.            /

Renumber sections to conform.

Amend title to conform.

A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 6-9-55(C) OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO THE ENFORCEMENT DATE OF SECTION 501.3 OF THE 2012 INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE, TO PROVIDE THAT THE ENFORCEMENT DATE IS CHANGED TO JULY 1, 2016 FROM JULY 1, 2015.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 6-9-55(C) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 65 of 2013, is amended to read:

"(C)    Notwithstanding subsection (A), Section 501.3 of the 2012 International Residential Code must not be enforced at any time before July 1, 2015 2016."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
