A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE VICTORIA BARDEN OF COLUMBIA UPON HER GRADUATION FROM A.C. FLORA HIGH SCHOOL ON JUNE 3, 2020.
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Victoria Barden of Columbia, having earned a place on the Principal's List for highest grades, as well as a 4.8 GPA for her high school career, will graduate from A.C. Flora High School on Wednesday, June 3, 2020; and
Whereas, this Flora senior, who is graduating a year early, has compiled an impressive list of activities and awards during her time in high school. The battalion commander for the school's JROTC, she received the AMVETS Medal of Honor and Earl T. Ware Leadership Certificate; and
Whereas, Victoria attended the Nathan M. Wolfe Law Enforcement Academy as a cadet and received the Randall Ford Academic Award; and
Whereas, she also attended the FBI Youth Camp and the JROTC Camp at Fort Jackson; and
Whereas, in addition, she is active in community service with the JROTC; and
Whereas, this fall, in further pursuit of her goals, Victoria will continue her studies at Midlands Technical College, where she will study forensic psychology. After completing her studies at Midlands Tech, she plans to transfer to Clemson University to study psychology; and
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is proud of Victoria's fine achievements, and the members wish her much success and happiness as she pursues interests old and new in the days ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend and congratulate Victoria Barden of Columbia upon her graduation from A.C. Flora High School on June 3, 2020.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Victoria Barden.
