Summary

Amend Section 56-1-365, Code Of Laws Of South Carolina, 1976, Relating To A Person Who Is Convicted Of An Offense That Requires Him To Surrender His Driver's License, So As To Require The Court To Electronically Transmit Certain Documents Related To The Conviction To The Department Of Motor Vehicles, And To Revise The Penalty For A Violation Of The Provision; To Amend Section 56-5-6230, Relating To The Court Notifying The Department Of Motor Vehicles Of The Conviction Of A Person Charged With A Traffic Violation, So As To Provide The Notification Must Be Done Electronically Within Five Days Of Payment Of A Fine Or Forfeiture Of Bond Previously Posted; And To Amend Section 56-25-20, Relating To The Suspension Of A Driver's License For Failure To Comply With A Traffic Citation Or A Litter Violation By A Court Or Driver Licensing Authority, So As To Provide The Notification Of The Suspension Must Be Transmitted To The Department Of Motor Vehicles Electronically Under Certain Circumstances.
