A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, TO ENACT THE "STATE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY RESTRUCTURING ACT" BY ADDING ARTICLE 8 TO CHAPTER 3, TITLE 1, SO AS TO ESTABLISH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY TO BE HEADED BY THE STATE ENERGY DIRECTOR WHO IS APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR WITH THE ADVICE AND CONSENT OF THE SENATE, AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE POWERS, DUTIES, AND FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT; AND TO REPEAL ARTICLE 4, CHAPTER 52, TITLE 48 RELATING TO THE STATE ENERGY OFFICE.
