AN ACT

Designating an interchange at the intersection of Routes 136 and

I-70, Washington County, as the Officer John David Dryer

3

Memorial Interchange.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Officer John David Dryer Memorial Interchange.

7

(a)  Redesignation.--The section of highway located at exit

8

20 at the intersection of Routes 136 and I-70 in Washington

9

County, formerly known as "Beau Street Interchange," is

10

redesignated and shall be known as the Officer John David Dryer

11

Memorial Interchange in honor of the late John David Dryer,

12

prominent local veterinarian and East Washington Borough police

13

officer, who was killed in the line of duty as a borough police

14

officer.

15

(b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

16

maintain appropriate signs which shall display the name of the

17

interchange designated in subsection (a).

Section 2.  Effective date.

19

This act shall take effect in 60 days.
