A RESOLUTION

Congratulating Rose Anne Bragalone of Duboistown, on being named

2

the winner of Pennsylvania's 31st Annual Favorite Homecoming

3

Queen Competition at the Lancaster Host Resort and Conference

4

Center.

5

WHEREAS, Rose Anne Bragalone of Duboistown, Lycoming County,

6

is the daughter of Gemma and Dominick Bragalone; and

7

WHEREAS, As a senior at South Williamsport High School, Miss

8

Bragalone served as the co-captain of the cheerleading squad,a

9

member of the yearbook staff, vice president of the Leo Club,

10

secretary of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and

11

was a member of the 2010 South Williamsport Mummers Parade

12

Court; and

13

WHEREAS, On October 15, 2010, Miss Bragalone was crowned the

14

high school's homecoming queen; and

15

WHEREAS, At the behest of school's faculty, Miss Bragalone

16

graciously submitted her bid for the title of Pennsylvania's

17

Favorite Homecoming Queen; and

WHEREAS, In January of 2011, Miss Bragalone was notified that

2

she had been selected to participate in the distinguished

3

Statewide pageant; and

4

WHEREAS, Miss Bragalone represented Lycoming County in the

5

pageant, capturing the coveted title; and

6

WHEREAS, Miss Bragalone drew her strength and determination

7

from the overwhelming support of her family and community and

8

credits her grandmother, Mrs. Rose Campana, as her biggest

9

supporter throughout the competition; and

10

WHEREAS, Miss Bragalone competed in a series of judged

11

events, including a runway challenge, etiquette evaluations,

12

behavior and social skills, leadership qualities and

13

Pennsylvania State knowledge; and

14

WHEREAS, On March 27, 2011, much to the excitement and joy of

15

Miss Bragalone's family, friends and supporters, she was crowned

16

as Pennsylvania's 31st Annual Favorite Homecoming Queen; and

17

WHEREAS, In addition to the distinguished title, Miss

18

Bragalone was the recipient of a cash scholarship to the school

19

of her choice and an all-expenses paid trip to Memphis,

20

Tennessee, to compete in the national competition for the title

21

of America's Homecoming Queen; and

22

WHEREAS, Miss Bragalone has been accepted to Millersville

23

University where she plans to major in elementary and secondary

24

special education; therefore be it

25

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives congratulate Rose

26

Anne Bragalone on winning the title of Pennsylvania's Favorite

27

Homecoming Queen and wish her continued success in her quest to

28

capture the national title of America's Homecoming Queen.
