  Declares May 1, 2010, as Future Business Leaders of America day
in Oregon.

                        JOINT RESOLUTION
  Whereas Future Business Leaders of America is an education
association with a quarter of a million students preparing for
careers in business and business related fields; and
  Whereas Future Business Leaders of America is the largest
business career student organization in the world; and
  Whereas the Oregon chapter of Future Business Leaders of
America is celebrating its 60th anniversary; and
  Whereas Future Business Leaders of America members have a
competitive edge when they enter the business world because they
have participated in leadership events and learned new ideas
about shaping their future careers through workshops and
exhibits; and
  Whereas Future Business Leaders of America is funded by
membership dues, conference fees, corporate contributions and
grants; and
  Whereas Future Business Leaders of America is recognized by the
Association for Career and Technical Education, the International
Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, the National
Association of Parliamentarians, the National Association of
Secondary School Principals, the National Business Education
Association and the United States Department of Education; now,
therefore,
Be It Resolved by the Legislative Assembly of the State of
  Oregon:
  That we, the members of the Seventy-fifth Legislative Assembly,
in special legislative session assembled, establish May 1, 2010,
as Future Business Leaders of America day in Oregon.
