                         SENATE BILL 694

  In line 6 of the printed bill, delete 'painting the vehicle a
solid color,'.
  After line 8, insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 2. + }  { + Section 3 of this 2013 Act is added
to and made a part of the Oregon Vehicle Code. + }
  '  { +  SECTION 3. + }  { + (1) A person commits the offense of
operating an impostor police vehicle if the person operates a
motor vehicle on a highway or premises open to the public and the
vehicle is painted in a manner that resembles a vehicle used by a
police officer.
  ' (2) This section does not apply to:
  ' (a) Persons using vehicles described in subsection (1) of
this section exclusively for movie or television production;
  ' (b) Employees of law enforcement agencies, as defined in ORS
136.595, acting within the scope of their employment;
  ' (c) Persons test-driving vehicles to facilitate repair or
maintenance of the vehicles or installation or removal of police
vehicle equipment on or from the vehicles;
  ' (d) Vehicle dealers in possession of new police vehicles for
purposes of sale or display; or
  ' (e) Companies that sell or offer for sale police vehicles or
police vehicle equipment, for the purpose of test-driving the
vehicles or demonstrating the equipment.
  ' (3) The offense described in this section, operating an
impostor police vehicle, is a Class A traffic violation. + } ' .
