                         SENATE BILL 225

                             POLICY

                            April 21

  On page 1 of the printed bill, line 2, after 'professions '
insert '; and declaring an emergency'.
  Delete lines 4 through 31 and delete page 2 and insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 1. + }  { + (1) The Oregon Health Authority
shall study methods used in other states to address issues
relating to the scope of practice of health professionals,
including but not limited to:
  ' (a) Disputes that occur when a health profession wants to
expand the profession's scope of practice;
  ' (b) Disputes that occur when a health profession wants to
prevent expansion of another profession's scope of practice; and
  ' (c) Allowing unlicensed, trained individuals to offer health
services as part of a pilot program.
  ' (2) The authority shall submit a report on the results of the
study to an interim committee of the Legislative Assembly related
to health care on or before October 1, 2012. + }
  '  { +  SECTION 2. + }  { + Section 1 of this 2011 Act is
repealed on January 2, 2014. + }
  '  { +  SECTION 3. + }  { + This 2011 Act being necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and
safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2011 Act
takes effect on its passage. + } ' .
