                             SUMMARY

  Approves new fee adopted by Oregon Board of Licensed
Professional Counselors and Therapists for criminal background
checks.
  Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2011.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to the financial administration of the Oregon Board of
  Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists; and declaring
  an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + For the purpose of carrying out the provisions
of ORS 675.785 (3), a new fee of $47.25 for the cost of criminal
background checks on licensed professional counselors, licensed
marriage and family therapists, registered interns and licensed
applicants, adopted by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional
Counselors and Therapists and approved by the Oregon Department
of Administrative Services, is approved. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + This 2011 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2011 Act takes effect July 1,
2011. + }
