Requires state agencies to use in-state providers of health care items and services instead of out-of-state providers under specified conditions. A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to health care. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. { + To the extent permitted by federal law, an agency of state government, as defined in ORS 174.111, may not use moneys from the General Fund to pay for health care items or services from an out-of-state provider if: (1) A provider that can furnish the same or a better quality item or service is available to furnish the item or service and is reasonably accessible to the person needing the item or service; and (2) The market for health care items and services is competitive in the geographic region where the items or services are to be purchased. + } ----------
