                      HOUSE MINORITY REPORT
                          AMENDMENTS TO
                         HOUSE BILL 2988

                            March 21

Speaker Kotek:
  A minority of your Committee on Rules, to whom was referred
House Bill 2988, having had the same under consideration,
respectfully reports it back with the recommendation that it do
pass with the following amendments:

  On page 1 of the printed bill, line 6, delete 'subsection (2)'
and insert 'subsections (2) and (3)'.
  After line 9, insert:
  ' (3) Until a person who registers to vote under subsection (1)
of this section attains the age of 18 years:
  ' (a) The person's voter registration information, including
but not limited to the person's name and any identifying
information, may not be disclosed as a public record under ORS
192.410 to 192.505.
  ' (b) The person may not use the voter registration form to
adopt a political party affiliation.'.
