                             SUMMARY

The following summary is not prepared by the sponsors of the

brief statement of the essential features of the measure as
introduced.

  Requires Department of Human Services to report to interim
committees of Legislative Assembly on programs that serve senior
citizens.
  Declares emergency, effective on passage.

                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to programs for senior citizens; and declaring an
  emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + On or before October 1, 2013, the Department of
Human Services shall submit to the appropriate interim committees
of the Legislative Assembly a report of all programs administered
by the department that serve senior citizens. The report shall
include, for each program:
  (1) The name;
  (2) The date of inception;
  (3) The eligibility requirements;
  (4) The current funding level and source of funding;
  (5) The department's recommended funding level and source of
funding;
  (6) The number of senior citizens served;
  (7) The resources that the department utilizes to inform
eligible senior citizens of the program; and
  (8) The department's projection of the resources that will be
needed to operate the program during the following two
biennia. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + Section 1 of this 2013 Act is repealed on
January 2, 2019. + }
  SECTION 3.  { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its
passage. + }
