Summary
Directs Higher Education Coordinating Commission to convene work group to identify methods for improving success rate of, and educational outcomes for, students receiving state-administered waiver of tuition, or state-administered grant for amount of tuition, for courses taken at community college. Establishes statewide standards and funding mechanisms for accelerated college credit programs for high school students.] Directs commission to recommend and implement ways to encourage students to become ready for college, to take courses for college credit and to transition from high school to post-secondary institution of higher education. Extends sunset on provisions that allow certain foreign exchange students to be considered residents of school district where dormitory for students is located for purposes of State School Fund distributions. Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2015] on passage.
