Summary

Directs Department of Education to make grants to improve student achievement in certain schools that are high poverty and low performing. Appropriates moneys to department from General Fund for purpose of making grants.Ù Increases, for biennium beginning July 1, 2013, appropriation made to Department of Education for grant-in-aid programs. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
