| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Samuel Prakel on winning the 2012 Division III State Boys Cross Country Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, Samuel Prakel is deserving of acknowledgement for the formidable athletic gifts and the competitive spirit that he has so amply revealed throughout this past season as a senior standout for the Versailles High School boys cross country team. Among his accomplishments, he won the 2012 Division III State Championship with a time of 15:16.62 and set the National Trails Raceway D3 record, and to his credit, he can always be counted on not only to shine individually but also to contribute significantly to his teammates' collective effort. Commendably, he has exhibited the skill, strength, agility, and stamina that befit an authentic champion; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition being a mainstay of American society, we applaud Samuel Prakel on his prowess in an activity that promotes qualities essential for excellence in all of life's pursuits. It is no surprise that he has won so many admirers; and |
| WHEREAS, Through his participation in cross country, Samuel Prakel has learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him throughout his life. Through his outstanding efforts, he has inspired countless individuals to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set an example worthy of the highest praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute Samuel Prakel on his impressive record of success and wish him a bright, rewarding future; and be it further |
