| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Sylvania Southview High School Mock Trial team on placing first at the 2014 State Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, An intelligent and motivated group of individuals, the members of the Sylvania Southview High School Mock Trial team are deserving of high praise. Under the capable leadership of Coach Dennis Lyle and his assistant coaches Vicki Lyle, Tony Turley, Dan Ellis, and Fritz Byers, the team worked diligently to develop their knowledge and skills, and consequently, they secured this year's Mock Trial State Championship title and placed third at the national tournament; and |
| WHEREAS, The accomplishments of the Sylvania Southview High School Mock Trial team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on the members but also on their families, their coaches, and their school. Through their tremendous efforts, these young men and women have set an example worthy of emulation; and |
| WHEREAS, Amply demonstrating their ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence, members Yuran Chen, Sevil Clifford, Claire Coder, Catherine Dong, Katherine Ellis, Shaleen Goel, Nikila Luke, Zach Poczekaj, Lily Yan, Ridwhan Sediqe, Sophia Yakumithis, and Eric Zhu have truly displayed an exceptional willingness to work hard to achieve superior results; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Sylvania Southview High School Mock Trial team on its remarkable attainment and salute all those who have aided in its success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Sylvania Southview High School Mock Trial team. |
