| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Northmont High School Academic Challenge team on its tremendous 2011-2012 season; and |
| WHEREAS, All those associated with the Northmont High School Academic Challenge team are deserving of praise for their ability to excel in many pursuits and to meet challenges with enthusiasm and confidence. The members of the squad devoted countless hours to rigorous training in order to be in peak mental condition, and as a result, they won the first place at this year's Ohio News Network State Brain Game and National History Bowl competitions. Through hard work, dedication, and leadership, they have certainly distinguished themselves as one of Ohio's finest academic groups; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Northmont High School Academic Challenge team have amply proven themselves to be innovative, articulate, and tenacious. They are to be commended not only for their grasp of a formidable amount of difficult material but also for their poise, confidence, and mental agility. Their thorough preparation was evident at every point in the contests, and they merit praise for their triumph in the face of stiff opposition. To their credit, their genuine passion for learning and effective problem-solving has set a fine example for their peers; and |
| WHEREAS, These exceptional students have demonstrated their sincere desire to fully develop their talents so that they might assume meaningful and rewarding roles in the future. We applaud the members of the Northmont High School Academic Challenge team on a job well done; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Northmont High School Academic Challenge team on its recent accomplishments and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further |
