| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Senator David T. Daniels for his loyal service to the Ohio Senate; and |
| WHEREAS, David Daniels is a remarkable individual, for he has combined civic concern and dedication with selfless initiative to become a dynamic public servant. Among his endeavors, he worked and managed the Daniels Brothers Farm with his father and held the elevated posts of council member and mayor of the City of Greenfield and commissioner for Highland County before commencing his tenure with the Ohio General Assembly, where he served four terms as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives before he was elected to the 17th Ohio Senate District in 2010. While in the Senate, he was chairman of the Energy and Public Utilities Committee, vice chairman of State and Local Government and Veterans Affairs Committee, and a member of the Finance and Financial Institutions committees, as well as such organizations as the Southern Ohio Agricultural and Community Development Foundation, the Lawrence County Transportation Improvement District, and the Power Siting Board, and he has performed his duties and fulfilled his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Without question, he is deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Over the years, David Daniels has given generously of his time, energy, and abilities to assist the Ohio Senate and has demonstrated a noteworthy commitment to the success of state government. He has provided a valuable service by helping to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the legislative process, and without the efforts of individuals such as he, many services that are currently available to the constituents of our state would cease to exist; and |
| WHEREAS, David Daniels' contributions to the State of Ohio have been greatly appreciated by all those who have had the pleasure of working with him. He has displayed exceptional devotion, responsibility, and enthusiasm in his endeavors, and we extend best wishes for health and happiness in the years to come; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Senator David T. Daniels on his exemplary state service and salute him as one of Ohio's finest public officials; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Senator David T. Daniels. |
