A BILL

To amend section 3358.10 and to enact sections

3354.161, 3355.121, and 3357.161 of the Revised

Code to require community colleges, state

community colleges, technical colleges, and

university branches to comply with minority

business enterprise set aside requirements.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That section 3358.10 be amended and sections	7
3354.161, 3355.121, and 3357.161 of the Revised Code be enacted to	8
read as follows:	9

Sec. 3354.161.  In awarding contracts, the board of trustees	10
of a community college district shall set aside a percentage of	11
the contracts for competition by minority business enterprises	12
only as specified in division (B) of section 125.081 of the	13
Revised Code.	14

Sec. 3355.121.  In awarding contracts, the managing authority	15
of the university branch district shall set aside a percentage of	16
the contracts for competition by minority business enterprises	17
only as specified in division (B) of section 125.081 of the	18
Revised Code.	19

Sec. 3357.161.  In awarding contracts, the board of trustees	20
of a technical college district shall set aside a percentage of	21
the contracts for competition by minority business enterprises	22
only as specified in division (B) of section 125.081 of the	23
Revised Code.	24

Sec. 3358.10.  Sections 3354.10, 3354.121, 3354.15, and	25
3354.16, and 3354.161 of the Revised Code apply to state community	26
college districts and their boards of trustees.	27

Section 2.  That existing section 3358.10 of the Revised Code	28
is hereby repealed.	29
