| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Baldwin Wallace University racquetball team on winning the 2013 Division II USA Racquetball National Intercollegiate Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, Baldwin Wallace University racquetball team members Kalli Holdash, Rebekah Holley, Jennifer Pease, Stephanie Poutz, Kristen Szutkowski, Nicole Fraley, Peter Schmidt Sane, Dillon Hayes, Bobby Jarus, David Levin, and Brad Sevcik have combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as a truly exceptional squad. With admirable dedication, the Yellow Jackets have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they secured this year's Ohio Racquetball Association Collegiate State, Mideast Racquetball Conference, and Division II USA Racquetball National Intercollegiate titles; and |
| WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Yellow Jackets are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on them, their families, their school, their community, and their coach, Tim Miller. The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of the coach to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading his team to victory, Coach Miller has not only helped the players to develop their talents to the fullest, but he has also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, camaraderie, and school spirit; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these fine athletes and their outstanding coach for a job well done. The maturity and experience the players have gained through participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Baldwin Wallace University racquetball team on its tremendous 2013 season and salute the players and coach as fine citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Baldwin Wallace University racquetball team. |
