A RESOLUTION

Honoring Lindsey LaPinta as a 2014 Ohio State Level 5 Gymnastics Champion.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Lindsey LaPinta on winning the vault and all-around championships at the 2014 Ohio State Level 5 Gymnastics Meet; and

       WHEREAS,  A fifth-grade student in the Olmsted Falls City School District, Lindsey LaPinta has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in gymnastics, and as a result, she won first place in the vault and all-around and second place in the balance beam and floor exercise events at this year's Ohio State Level 5 Meet; and 

       WHEREAS,  Lindsey LaPinta's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her coaches, her gym, Head Over Heels, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; and

       WHEREAS,  With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Lindsey LaPinta. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in gymnastics will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Lindsey LaPinta on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Lindsey LaPinta.
