A RESOLUTION
Honoring JoEllen Mitchell on being named the 2012 ODRC Parole Officer of the Year.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to JoEllen Mitchell on receiving the 2012 Parole Officer of the Year Award from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction; and

       WHEREAS,  JoEllen Mitchell is truly worthy of recognition, and congratulations are certainly in order. A parole officer in Cleveland Unit 8 since 2011, she has served as an evidence based practices coach, and she has given willingly of her time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected; and 

       WHEREAS,  Throughout her career, JoEllen Mitchell has fulfilled her myriad duties with the utmost efficiency and competence. Being selected as Ohio's Parole Officer of the Year is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her supervisors, her colleagues, her department, and her community; and

       WHEREAS,  At a time when many people are content to take a passive role in life, JoEllen Mitchell has chosen a vocation through which she has often risked her own safety to ensure the well-being of her fellow citizens, and her enthusiasm and devotion to duty have earned her the respect and gratitude of her peers and of the community she has so capably served; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend JoEllen Mitchell for outstanding accomplishment and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to JoEllen Mitchell.
