A RESOLUTION

Honoring Liz Vrana on winning a 2013 NASP World Championship.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Liz Vrana on placing first in the fifth-grade girls division at the 2013 National Archery in the Schools Program World Championship; and

       WHEREAS,  This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Liz Vrana has clearly demonstrated her talent and perseverance, as well as her mental and physical fortitude as an archer. As this year's NASP World Champion with a score of 284 points and 18 bullseyes, she has exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world, including courage, determination, and an innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship; and 

       WHEREAS,  In displaying such exceptional prowess as a member of the Fairfield Christian Academy Elementary School archery team, Liz Vrana has earned the appreciation of her fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even her most determined rivals. Competition in athletics has enabled her to learn much about dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to acknowledge her exceptional record of achievement; and

       WHEREAS,  Archery is an event which requires exceptional focus and natural ability, and Liz Vrana is to be commended for her commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining her athletic goals, she has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Liz Vrana as a 2013 National Archery in the Schools Program World Champion and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Liz Vrana.
