BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
| Section 1. That section 3345.35 of the Revised Code be | 5 |
|
enacted to read as follows: | 6 |
| Sec. 3345.35. The board of trustees or managing authority of | 7 |
|
each state institution of higher education shall transfer any | 8 |
|
investment income earned on the presale of spectator admission | 9 |
|
tickets for any intercollegiate sporting event sold more than six | 10 |
|
weeks prior to the first game of the season for that sport to food | 11 |
|
banks in the state. The board of trustees or managing authority | 12 |
|
shall donate the funds on a per capita basis, based on the prior | 13 |
|
year's service numbers for each food bank, as determined by the | 14 |
|
chancellor of the Ohio board of regents in consultation with the | 15 |
|
Ohio association of foodbanks or any other statewide food bank | 16 |
|
organization the chancellor determines appropriate. | 17 |
| As used in this section, "state institution of higher | 18 |
|
education" has the same meaning as in section 3345.011 of the | 19 |
|
Revised Code.
