          printed to be committed to the Committee on Education

        AN ACT to amend chapter 374 of the laws of 2014 amending  the  education
          law  relating to the leasing of real property by boards of cooperative
          educational services, in relation to extending the effectiveness ther-
          eof

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Section 4 of chapter 374 of the laws of 2014 amending the
     2  education law relating to the leasing of  real  property  by  boards  of
     3  cooperative  educational  services, as amended by chapter 61 of the laws
     4  of 2019, is amended to read as follows:
     5    § 4. This act shall take effect immediately, and shall expire  and  be
     6  deemed  repealed  July  1,  [2024]  2029,  provided,  however,  that any
     7  contracts entered pursuant to this act shall not be impaired or modified
     8  by such expiration and repeal; provided further that the  provisions  of
     9  this  act shall only apply to contracts entered into after the effective
    10  date of this act.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
