ADDABBO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend part SS of chapter 56 of the laws of 2020, amending the real property tax law and the administrative code of the city of New York, relating to abatement of tax payments for certain industrial and commercial properties in a city of one million or more persons, in relation to the effectiveness thereof The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 10 of part SS of chapter 56 of the laws of 2020, 2 amending the real property tax law and the administrative code of the 3 city of New York, relating to abatement of tax payments for certain 4 industrial and commercial properties in a city of one million or more 5 persons, is amended to read as follows: 6 § 10. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that section 7 one of this act shall not apply to projects for which [the first build-8ing permit is issued after July 1, 2020 or if no permit is required, for9which construction commences after] a preliminary application for bene- 10 fits has been filed on or before July 1, 2020. 11 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided however that if 12 this act shall not have taken effect on or before July 1, 2020 then this 13 act shall be deemed to have been in full force and effect on and after 14 July 1, 2020.
