       Introduced  by Sen. STOROBIN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules
       AN ACT in relation to reimbursement of certain  transportation  expenses
         of school districts
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law, rule or regulation to
    2  the contrary, the  commissioner  of  education  shall  reimburse  school
    3  districts  for  ninety  percent  of their expenses incurred in providing
    4  transportation services pursuant to section forty-four  hundred  two  of
    5  the education law.
    6    S 2. The commissioner of education shall promulgate any rules or regu-
    7  lations that may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this act.
    8    S  3.  This act shall take effect immediately, provided, however, that
    9  school districts shall be eligible for  reimbursement  provided  for  in
   10  this act for expenses incurred beginning in the 2012-13 school year.
