       Introduced  by  Sen.  DeFRANCISCO -- read twice and ordered printed, and
         when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conser-
         vation
       AN ACT in  relation  to  directing  the  commissioner  of  environmental
         conservation  to  include  the  mourning dove within the definition of
         "migratory game birds"
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  The  commissioner of environmental conservation is hereby
    2  authorized and directed to include within the meaning of the  definition
    3  of  "migratory  game  birds",  as set forth in section 2.30 of part 2 of
    4  subchapter A of chapter 1 of title 6 of the New York state codes,  rules
    5  and regulations, the mourning dove (Zenaida macroura). Such commissioner
    6  is further directed to make any addition, amendment and/or repeal of any
    7  rule  or  regulation necessary for the implementation of this act within
    8  60 days of the effective date of this act.
    9    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
