       AN  ACT  to amend chapter 135 of the laws of 2002 amending the education
         law relating to mandatory continuing education for land surveyors,  in
         relation to extending the provisions of such chapter
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 135 of the laws of 2002  amending  the
    2  education  law  relating  to  mandatory  continuing  education  for land
    3  surveyors is amended to read as follows:
    4    S 2. This act shall take effect January 1, 2004 and  it  shall  expire
    5  and  be deemed to be repealed on the thirtieth day of June, [2014] 2024,
    6  provided that any rules  and  regulations  necessary  to  implement  the
    7  provisions of this act on its effective date are authorized and directed
    8  to be promulgated, repealed and/or amended by such effective date.
    9    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
