       Introduced  by  Sen.  SEWARD -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation
       AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to hunt-
         ing by crossbow in the county of Cortland
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Item (j) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
    2  of  the  environmental  conservation law, as added by chapter 323 of the
    3  laws of 2011, is amended to read as follows:
    4  (j) Cortland County       Deer, first Monday      Pistol, rifle,
    5                            after November 15       shotgun, CROSSBOW,
    6                            through first Tuesday   muzzle loading
    7                            after December 7        firearm, or long
    8                                                    bow only
    9    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall  expire  and  be
   10  deemed  repealed  on the earlier of either the date on which item (j) of
   11  paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section  11-0907  of  the  environmental
   12  conservation  law  is  repealed  pursuant  to chapter 323 of the laws of
   13  2011, or the date on which chapter 483 of the laws of 2010  expires  and
   14  is repealed pursuant to section 17 of such chapter.
