          PARKER, SALAZAR, SKOUFIS -- read twice and ordered printed,  and  when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Women's Issues -- reported
          favorably  from  said  committee,  ordered to first report, amended on
          first report, ordered  to  a  second  report  and  ordered  reprinted,
          retaining its place in the order of second report

        AN  ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to conducting educa-
          tion and outreach programs for individuals who have suffered  a  preg-
          nancy loss or infant loss

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 207 of the public  health  law  is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph (r) to read as follows:
     3    (r)  For  those  who  are  experiencing pregnancy loss or infant loss,
     4  which shall for the purposes of this paragraph include but not be limit-
     5  ed to, miscarriage, stillbirth,  or  termination  for  medical  reasons,
     6  information regarding:
     7    (i) the potential mental and physical impact from such loss; and
     8    (ii) resources for support and follow-up care.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
