         printed to be committed to the Committee on Higher Education
       AN ACT to amend chapter 434 of the laws of 1999, amending the  education
         law  relating  to  licensed  private  schools  and registered business
         schools, in relation to the effectiveness thereof
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 23 of chapter 434 of the laws of 1999, amending the
    2  education  law relating to licensed private schools and registered busi-
    3  ness schools, as amended by chapter 430 of the laws of 2011, is  amended
    4  to read as follows:
    5    S  23.  This  act  shall  take  effect immediately; provided, that the
    6  provisions of paragraph n of subdivision 2 of section 5001 of the educa-
    7  tion law, as added by section three of this act,  shall  expire  and  be
    8  deemed repealed September 1, 2000; AND paragraphs f and h of subdivision
    9  10  of  section 5007 of the education law, as added by section seventeen
   10  of this act shall expire and be deemed repealed December 1,  2007[;  and
   11  paragraph  g  of subdivision 10 of section 5007 of the education law, as
   12  added by section seventeen of this  act,  shall  expire  and  be  deemed
   13  repealed December 1, 2015].
   14    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
