       Introduced  by  Sen. MORAHAN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Housing, Construction  and
         Community Development
       AN  ACT  to  amend the executive law, in relation to requiring a visible
         house or building number
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 378 of the executive law is amended by adding a new
    2  subdivision 5-d to read as follows:
    3    5-D.  STANDARDS REQUIRING THAT EVERY ONE OR TWO-FAMILY DWELLING OR ANY
    4  DWELLING ACCOMMODATION LOCATED IN A BUILDING OWNED AS A  CONDOMINIUM  OR
    5  COOPERATIVE IN THE STATE SHALL HAVE A VISIBLE HOUSE OR BUILDING NUMBER.
    6    S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
    7  it shall have become a law, provided, however, that effective immediate-
    8  ly, the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rules or regulations by
    9  the  secretary  of state necessary for the implementation of this act on
   10  its effective date is authorized and directed to be made  and  completed
   11  on or before such effective date.
