FUNKE, AVELLA, HOYLMAN, LATIMER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cultural Affairs, Tourism, Parks and Recreation -- reported favorably from said committee, ordered to first and second report, ordered to a third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading AN ACT to amend the parks, recreation and historic preservation law, in relation to requiring the collection of recyclable materials at state parks, state historic sites and state recreational facilities The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 3.09 of the parks, recreation and historic preser- 2 vation law is amended by adding a new subdivision 23 to read as follows: 3 23. Establish and implement a program for the collection of recyclable 4 materials that are discarded in state parks, state historic sites and 5 state recreational facilities. Such recyclable materials shall include, 6 but not be limited to, metal, plastic, glass and paper. In each such 7 park, historic site and recreational facility the office shall install 8 bins for the collection of recyclable materials. The office shall regu- 9 larly collect and provide for the recycling of the recyclable materials 10 collected. 11 § 2.
