       Introduced  by  Sen.  FELDER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Children and Families
       AN ACT to amend the family court act, in relation to authorizing  family
         courts  to order the local commissioner of social services to notify a
         respondent's employer upon  the  disposition  of  a  child  protective
         proceeding  when  such  respondent  has  contact  with children in the
         course of his or her employment
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Paragraph  (vi) of subdivision (a) of section 1052 of the
    2  family court act, as added by chapter  519  of  the  laws  of  2008,  is
    3  amended and a new paragraph (vii) is added to read as follows:
    4    (vi)  granting  custody  of the child to relatives or suitable persons
    5  pursuant to section one thousand fifty-five-b of this part[.] ; OR
    6    (VII) ORDERING THE LOCAL COMMISSIONER OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO ADVISE THE
    7  RESPONDENT'S EMPLOYER OF THE ADJUDICATION IF THE RESPONDENT IS  EMPLOYED
    8  WHERE HE OR SHE HAS CONTACT WITH CHILDREN.
    9    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
