STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 3370 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN SENATE January 23, 2017 ___________ Introduced by Sen. SANDERS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wager- ing AN ACT to amend the racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law, in relation to the qualifications of members of the gaming commission The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraphs (c) and (d) of subdivision 2 of section 102 of 2 the racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law, as added by section 1 3 of part A of chapter 60 of the laws of 2012, are amended and a new para- 4 graph (e) is added to read as follows: 5 (c) professional experience in gaming or racing regulatory adminis- 6 tration or gaming or racing industry management, [or] 7 (d) significant experience in the fields of criminal investigation, 8 law enforcement, or law[.], or 9 (e) significant experience in the prevention or treatment of problem 10 gambling. 11 § 2.
