KAPLAN, SANDERS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Commerce, Econom- ic Development and Small Business -- reported favorably from said committee, ordered to first and second report, ordered to a third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to authorizing the sale of cider, mead, braggot and wine at games of chance The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 194 of the general municipal law, 2 as amended by chapter 550 of the laws of 1994, is amended to read as 3 follows: 4 3. [Service of alcoholic beverages.] Subject to the applicable 5 provisions of the alcoholic beverage control law, beer, cider, mead, 6 braggot and wine may be offered for sale during the conduct of games of 7 chance on games of chance premises as such premises are defined in 8 subdivision nineteen of section one hundred eighty-six of this article; 9 provided, however, that nothing herein shall be construed to limit the 10 offering for sale of any other alcoholic beverage in areas other than 11 the games of chance premises or the sale of any other alcoholic beverage 12 in premises where only the games of chance known as bell jar or raffles 13 are conducted. 14 § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after 15 it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted.
