        Introduced  by  Sen.  AKSHAR -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Elections
        AN ACT to amend the election law, in  relation  to  requiring  mandatory
          training for certain treasurers of political committees
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Section 14-118 of the election law is amended by  adding  a
     2  new subdivision 4 to read as follows:
     3    4. The state board of elections or its designee shall conduct a manda-
     4  tory training program for the treasurers of any political committee that
     5  maintains  an  average  annual balance of more than twenty-five thousand
     6  dollars in its account once per each election cycle.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
