       Introduced  by  Sen.  LITTLE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation -- reported
         favorably from said committee, ordered to  first  and  second  report,

       AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a portion of
         the state highway system as the "Adirondack Coast Wine Trail"
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. The section heading of section 343-k of the highway law, as
    2  amended by chapter 215 of the laws  of  2007,  is  amended  to  read  as
    3  follows:
    4    Portions of the state highway system to be designated as the "Chautau-
    5  qua  Wine  Trail",  the "Canandaigua Wine Trail", the "Cayuga Wine Trail
    6  East", the "Cayuga Wine Trail West", the "Seneca Lake Wine Trail  East",
    7  the  "Seneca  Lake  Wine  Trail  West", the "Keuka Lake Wine Trail", the
    8  "Shawangunk Wine Trail", the "Dutchess Wine Trail", the "North Fork Wine
    9  Trail", the "Hamptons Wine Trail", the "Long Island  Wine  Region",  the
   10  "Niagara  Escarpment  Wine  Trail",  the "Niagara Wine Trail" [and], the
   11  "Lake Ontario Wine Trail" AND THE "ADIRONDACK COAST WINE TRAIL".
   12    S 2. Section 343-k of the highway law, as amended by  chapter  143  of
   13  the  laws  of  2001, is amended by adding a new subdivision 9 to read as
   14  follows:
   15    9. ALL THAT PORTION OF THE STATE HIGHWAY SYSTEM STARTING AT EXIT 35 OF
   16  INTERSTATE ROUTE 87 IN THE TOWN OF PERU AND  CONTINUING  WEST  ON  STATE
   17  ROUTE  442  TO  ITS  INTERSECTION WITH STATE ROUTE 22, AND CONTINUING ON
   18  STATE ROUTE 22 TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH STATE ROUTE 22B, AND  CONTINUING
   19  NORTH  ON  STATE ROUTE 22B TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH STATE ROUTE 3 IN THE
   20  TOWN OF PLATTSBURGH, AND CONTINUING EAST ON STATE ROUTE 3 TO ITS  INTER-
        EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets

   11  TRAIL".
   12    S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
