STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 288 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN SENATE (Prefiled) January 4, 2017 ___________ Introduced by Sen. ROBACH -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Civil Service and Pensions AN ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to reporting the findings of the commission on increasing diversity in the state government workforce to the governor and the legislature The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph (k) of subdivision 3 of section 7-a of the civil 2 service law, as added by chapter 705 of the laws of 2006, is amended to 3 read as follows: 4 (k) (1) shall, on or before April first, two thousand seven, report to 5 the governor and the legislature its findings, conclusions and recommen- 6 dations, 7 (2) shall, on or before [April] May first, two thousand [eight] eigh- 8 teen, report to the governor and the legislature on the status of and 9 any actions taken on the recommendations made pursuant to subparagraph 10 one of this paragraph, and 11 (3) shall, on or before [April first] December thirty-first, two thou- 12 sand [nine] nineteen, report to the governor and the legislature on the 13 status of and any actions taken on the recommendations made pursuant to 14 subparagraph one of this paragraph, and which actions have and have not 15 been taken to provide for diversity in the state government workforce. 16 § 2.
