        CELEBRATING  the  life of Barry I. Kobrin, devoted
        husband, father and grandfather,  and  distinguished
        member of his community

  WHEREAS, There are certain outstanding members of our community who,
through  their selfless commitment and dedication, have served to better
the quality of life in our community and have had a measurable  positive
impact  on  the  lives  of  its  residents; Barry I. Kobrin was one such
individual; and

  WHEREAS, It is with  profound  sorrow  and  deep  regret  that  this
Legislative  Body  records  the  passing  of Barry I. Kobrin, noting the
significance of his purposeful life and accomplishments; and

  WHEREAS, Barry I. Kobrin of Lockport, New York,  died  on  Thursday,
December 14, 2023; and

  WHEREAS,  Barry  I.  Kobrin  was  very active in his community, most
notably as a volunteer firefighter in Niagara County for 30  years  with
the  Rapids  Volunteer  Fire  Company,  where  he served as Chief for 15
years; and

  WHEREAS,  With  a  steadfast  and  unwavering  commitment   to   his
community,  Barry  I.  Kobrin  was  a  member of the Niagara County Fire
Investigation Unit; he also served  as  Town  of  Lockport  Dog  Control
Officer, and most recently as a Town of Wheatfield Constable; and

  WHEREAS,  Furthermore, Barry I. Kobrin was also an avid animal lover
and excellent dog whisperer; and

  WHEREAS, Predeceased by his parents,  Sheldon  and  Zelda  (Davidov)
Kobrin,  and  his brother Adrian Michael, Barry I. Kobrin is survived by
his beloved wife of 31  years,  Carol;  two  wonderful  children,  Jason
(Jennifer)  and  Megan  (Joshua);  and  his four precious grandchildren,
Marah, Jackson, Reagan, and Callie; as well as his buddies,  Rubble  and
Sheba; and many loving family members; and

  WHEREAS,  Barry  I.  Kobrin's  infinite selflessness and benevolence
will shine on  through  his  family's  vivid  and  happy  memories;  his
compassion  and  strength  will forever serve as a beacon of love, light
and hope to the countless lives he touched; and

  WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a  sense  of
compassion,  Barry  I.  Kobrin  leaves  behind  a legacy which will long
endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all
who were privileged to have known and loved such an amazing man; he will
be  deeply  missed  and  truly  merits  the  grateful  tribute  of  this
Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the  death  of  Barry  I.  Kobrin,  and  to  express  its  deepest
condolences to his family; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Barry I. Kobrin.
