        LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION memorializing Governor Kathy
        Hochul to proclaim January 2022, as Technology Month
        in the State of New  York

  WHEREAS,  It  is  the  custom  of this Legislative Body to recognize
official months that are set aside to appreciate how technology  betters
the  lives  of  citizens  of  New  York State and changes the world as a
whole; and

  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
long-standing  traditions,  this  Legislative  Body  is  justly proud to
memorialize  Governor  Kathy  Hochul  to  proclaim  January   2022,   as
Technology  Month  in  the  State  of  New York, in conjunction with the
observance of National Technology Month; and

  WHEREAS,  National   Technology   Day   on   January   6th,   honors
technological  achievements  that  impact  all Americans and New Yorkers
each and every day; and

  WHEREAS, Technology keeps  us  organized,  connected,  healthy,  and
safe;  it  also  improves productivity and gives us insight into how the
world works; and

  WHEREAS, Technology is the basis of the  application  of  scientific
knowledge  for  practical  purposes  of  human  life which is capable of
changing and manipulating the human  environment;  since  technology  is
part  of  our  everyday  life, the profession is among the strongest and
fastest-growing in the world; and

  WHEREAS,  Technology  is  at  the  center  of  industries  such   as
agriculture,   healthcare,  education,  entertainment,  foodservice  and
security, truly making the world go around; and

  WHEREAS, A couple areas of technology which continue to advance  and
affect our lives are applications or apps, and communications; today, we
keep  in  touch  with  family,  attend school, speak to our doctors, and
conduct business through video meetings; and

  WHEREAS, We also use texts, websites and social media to communicate
with people all across the globe; and

  WHEREAS, Technology continues to change the way we live and drive us
further into the world of the future  and  we  are  grateful  for  those
individuals who work in this trailblazing field; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
memorialize  Governor  Kathy  Hochul  to  proclaim  January   2022,   as
Technology Month in the State of New York; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to The Honorable Kathy Hochul, Governor of the State of  New
York.
