        LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION    commending  Cindy  Habeeb
        Bufalini upon the occasion of her  retirement  after
        more  than  30  years of service to 7 News/Fox 28 on
        March 6, 2020

  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
those illustrious newscasters who have diligently and consistently, year
after year, recorded the history of their communities and brought  local
news and news of the larger world to their readers; and

  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this  Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to
commend  Cindy Habeeb Bufalini upon the occasion of her retirement after
more than 30 years of service to 7 News/Fox 28; and

  WHEREAS, A native of Watertown,  New  York,  Cindy  Habeeb  Bufalini
attended  St.  Lawrence University in Canton, New York, and the American
University in Washington, D.C., graduating with  a  Master's  degree  in
journalism and public affairs; and

  WHEREAS,  For  more  than three years, Cindy Habeeb Bufalini put her
education and journalistic talents to work as a member of the team at  7
News/Fox  28 in Watertown; throughout her tenure, she fulfilled a number
of roles including general assignment reporter, anchor, health  reporter
and   ultimately,   assignment  editor,  the  position  from  which  she
officially retired on Friday, March 6, 2020; and

  WHEREAS, Cindy Habeeb Bufalini was the co-host for the "Jerry  Lewis
Labor Day Telethon," served as the station's liaison with the Children's
Miracle  Network,  and  was  a  spokeswoman  for  the  Go  Red for Women
campaign; and

  WHEREAS, In recognition of her many talents and stellar work  ethic,
Cindy  Habeeb  Bufalini  has been the recipient of numerous of accolades
such as an honor from the Syracuse Press Club for her special  "Wake  Up
Call:  Drugs in the North Country"; and

  WHEREAS,  Throughout her distinguished career, Cindy Habeeb Bufalini
has risen to the challenge of informing the public about important  news
that  affects  their  daily  lives,  helping to ensure people throughout
Jefferson,  Lewis,  and  St.  Lawrence  Counties  received   the   vital
information  they  needed  and  had the opportunity to be entertained by
heartwarming stories about everyday people making a  difference  locally
and other events which characterize life in the North Country; and

  WHEREAS,  It  is  the  sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the  maintenance  of  high  standards  in  their
profession,  certainly  have  earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
commend  Cindy Habeeb Bufalini upon the occasion of her retirement after

more than 30 years of service to 7 News/Fox 28 on March 6, 2020, and  to
wish  her  continued  success  in  all  her  future endeavors; and be it
further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted Cindy Habeeb Bufalini.
